Episode 001
George Cheah
New Jersey Pickleball Association Founder

Show Notes:
George Cheah joins me this week. He founded and runs the New Jersey Pickleball Association, and he’s based right here in Ridgewood.
We touch on a few aspects of his career, including working on Wall Street, starting his own financial technology firm, and his good fortune to escape from the World Trade Center on 9/11. It was a life-altering experience, which eventually led him to smell the roses more, and that meant 7 days of week of playing tennis.
Eventually he switched to Pickleball, where his organizational and business creation skills are in full use. George tells me about the growing popularity of Pickleball, the demand for courts, and plenty of altercations on the Pickleball courts.
George shares what it was like to have the door slammed in his face when he tried to find more courts for his players, and he offers his take on the growing Pickleball controversy happening right here in Ridgewood.
